Soul-Winning Ministry
One of the most mobile and efficient evangelism and discipleship arms of the church is the SOUL WINNING CLUB. Fueled by the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, the members who go out by pairs fulfill their commitment to spend an average of 3 hours per week for soul winning, visitation and follow-up.
Twenty five years ago, Dr. Benny M. Abante, Jr., the MBBC Senior Pastor, came up with a very simple method of winning souls, which can be done by twos in just 15 minutes. This was called the Mitosis Method. Its principle is very simple – that Christians should produce Christians, and this process is analogous to what transpires during cell reproduction. That is, if a Christian wins a man to Christ, that man will in turn win another. And on and on and on!
Soul-winning is an integral part of the Christian life. It is the most important factor for church growth. A soul-winning church is alive and it keeps on growing. This vital life-saving activity challenges the members to work faithfully because they see tangible fruits of their labors week after week.
All graduates of the Operation Go! Soul Winning Program and the Mitosis Discipleship Method become members of this club. They all meet regularly after the first prayer meetings on Tuesday nights to share their experiences/reports on their evangelism and discipleship efforts. To date, there are more than 200 SWC members in the main church.
DISTRICT EVANGELISM AREAS (DEAR)
The District Evangelism Areas (DEAR) is one of the recently established MBBC ministries by our Pastor, Dr. Benny M. Abante, Jr. Its vital objective is to reach more souls to Christ by sectoring areas where commissioned lay preachers lead members of the Church in SOUL-WINNING ENDEAVORS. During its first week of operation, (February 3-10), fifty-nine (59) souls got saved as 10 evangelism areas were started. More DEAR are expected to be opened the soonest possible time as the Lord provides more workers who would be more than happy to participate in the reaping of the harvest of souls.
